In 2024, the SAU 20 administrative team conducted goal-setting meetings to plan for the 2024-2025 school year. They analyzed a staff survey on workplace culture, focusing on areas needing improvement, such as communication, student support, and staff well-being. The team set three main goals: enhancing two-way communication with staff, parents, students and our communities; providing better support for staff and students, particularly in mental health and trauma-informed practices; and fostering pride in their work by improving teaching quality and celebrating achievements. Inspired by Margaret J. Wheatley’s "Who Do We Choose to Be?", they emphasized crafting a district narrative that reflects these goals.
